New Zealand Launches its World first wooden satellite..
The European Space Agency (ESA) will launch the world’s first all-wood sat, WISA Woodsat, in a low orbit around the Earth by the end of 2021. WISA Woodsat will be launched to test the suitability of the wood materials such as plywood, in the space of structures. It is a challenge to the wood material that will be exposed to extreme space conditions, such as heat, cold, vacuum, and radiation.
